Tallinn, 6 th August, 2023
At 9.15, in Tallinn (Estonia) at the Hotel Dzingel, Männiku tee 89-1, 11213, in the same building where the European Youth Championships were taking place, in the presence of Carlo A. together. The President Bordini referred to the Convocation of the EDC GA 2023, in which (as in EDC Statute, Chapter 4, article 7, point 7-8) it was written that “the first Meeting of the Executive Board can be held immediately after the Elective General Assembly, without the fixed time of convocation; in the first Meeting of the Executive Board the two Vice-Presidents must be elected: the 1st Vice-President (also called Deputy President/Chairman or Vice-President Vicar) and the 2nd Vice-President; also the General Secretary must be named and the office of
Tournament Director of Youth, Veterans and Adults must be committed”.
After a short speech made by the President, the EB debated the responsibilities and tasks of the new path, as in the EDC work and management plan 2023-2027 (“I am because we are…in draughts!”) is specified, with the main targets presented to the General Assembly by the President, unanimously voted.

About EDC Calendar 2023, some Federations have showed interest in organizing the Championships. President Bordini will invite European Federations to send applications for 2024 European Championships by the next 30th September, according to the EDC current Guide Lines for organizers (Board meeting Minutes September 2019) without free places in EYC (as EDC General Assembly decided) and updated with some implemented decisions

Remember: Daily fee of 60€ a day to the EDC Main Referees, per each playing day.
The Executive Board faced also the matter of the possible overlapping of FMJD and EDC Calendars and also of some important tournaments. It would be useful to share a way with FMJD to define some fixed free periods, 3 or 4 weeks, as similarly decided for EYC at the beginning of August, also for other EC (Veterans, Under 27, Individual or Teams), to avoid coincidence in time between main tournaments, ensuring the possibility of a full
participation to all players.
Considering that FMJD Board Meeting is usually on first Monday of every month, the following EDC Board Meeting was set on 10th October at 18.30 Rome/Berlin/Brussels/Paris/Amsterdam time.
At 10.30, since there was nothing else to discuss, the President thanked the participants for their time and declared the EB Meeting closed.
